Primary Focus
Research and development of small, auditable, operator-controlled Unix-like operating systems derived from the BSD lineage. Emphasis on source visibility, conservative engineering, and durable documentation.
Funding
Internal allocation. No external investors. No commercial partnerships. No grant dependency.
Staff
Small rotating team of systems programmers, documentation specialists, and one (1) part-time typist for transparency deck preparation.
Project
Primary active project: Xirtux UNIX System (revision 0.7-BETA). Secondary: maintenance of the pkgsrc bridge tooling and the retro workstation compatibility profile.
Publications
Internal technical memoranda. Occasional submissions to USENIX and BSDCan. All publications printed on a Xerox 9700 and distributed as photocopied transparency decks.
